Technical Data: Vintage: 1999. Denomination of Origin: D.O. Ca. Rioja. Type: Red. Alcohol content: 12,5% alc. / vol. Grape variety:
80% Tempranillo & 20% Garnacha. Grape source: The Rioja Alta Region. Sweetness index: 2,3 g/l. Dry. Service temperature:
18 ºC. Production method: Fermentation is carried out under temperature-controlled conditions never exceeding 28ºC. The wine is initially kept in vats for a period of 12 months and is then transferred to oak casks where it matures for a period of 24 months. Finally, it is filtered and bottled to further its development prior to being released. Tasting comments: Deep ruby red, clear and bright. Clearly shows qualities from its oak ageing. Round and full, meaty, well-balanced, aromatic and with a lingering aftertaste. Recommendations: Although the Reservas have been fully matured and rounded in bottle prior to being released, they can be further developed when stored under the right temperature and humidity conditions. The shelf-life of this wine is approximately 5-6 years. |
